Better Living Contoured Wheelchair Cushion

An anatomically moulded wheelchair cushion that is used to relieve and prevent back pain, numbness and other discomfort that can be experienced after prolonged sitting in a slung seat wheelchair. The cushion lays flat on the wheelchair seat and is gently curved to support the curves of the buttocks and thighs.

The ergonomic design helps to distribute pressure evenly across the surface that has contact with the cushion, which in turn helps to promote better circulation. All these factors significantly reduce the risk of pressure related injury, for people with limited mobility. It also helps keep the legs evenly spaced and prevents excess sweat building up between the thighs.

The seat cushion has a Velcro strap that wraps around the underside of the wheelchair to keep it securely in place. This stops the cushion from slipping and sliding under the user, even when they are re-positioning themselves in the chair. The soft cover has a zip for easy removal. The cover can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or removed for machine washing.
